How to send GBU a secure message:

  • To access the new portal for the first time, please reach out to the GBU employee that you need to send a secure message to. Explain that you need to share sensitive information and require an Enrollment Email. The Enrollment Email will be a secure message that will provide you a link to the Secure Messaging Portal. After you access the portal for the first time, you can revisit the link in the Enrollment Email anytime and can skip this step.


  • Once you receive the Enrollment Email, you will find the message below in your normal email inbox.


  • To access the Secure Messaging Portal for the first time, Please select the link “create a password”.
  • Note: After you access the portal for the first time, you will select the “Secure Messaging Service” link for any future secure messages sent to you. This will simply prompt you to sign in with your account you created previously.


  • For first time users, after selecting create a password, you will be prompted to create a password for your account. Create a password and select Confirm. You will then be prompted to sign in using your email and password you created.
  • If you have already created account and selected Secure Messaging Service. You will only be prompted to sign in.


  • Once you Sign In, you will enter the Secure Messaging Portal. Within the portal you have several additional functions available to you. This includes: Viewing all sent/received secure messages, replying to messages, print messages, create new secure messages, etc.


  • To send the sensitive information you originally needed to, that started this process. Please select Compose in the upper left corner.


  • You will be prompted to create a new message. Here you will define who the recipient is, the subject of the message, and add the senistive information in the body of the secure email.


  • Once you have composed the secure message you would like to send. Select Send in the upper right corner.

 

You have now successfully sent an encrypted / secure message containing sensitive information, ensuring that the data is secure.

 

We also suggest that you keep the original Enrollment Email. This will allow you to revisit the link to access the Secure Messaging Portal. If you have deleted / can’t find the original Enrollment Email, you can request another from a GBU employee.
