Turn your passion into real-world impact. Build leadership skills, grow your career, and make a lasting difference through the GBU Life Student Leaders program.

GBU Life is on the hunt across the country for eight GBU members enrolled in higher education to partner with us in becoming GBU ambassadors. Student Leaders will receive monthly stipends for their efforts, as well as funding and reimbursements for projects they complete in their communities.

Make a Difference

Student Leaders receive financial support to plan and execute community projects—turning ideas and activism into real, measurable community impact.

Innovate for the Future

Student Leaders have a voice in shaping the future of GBU Life’s fraternal pursuits, influencing programs, priorities, and initiatives that matter to the next generation.

Grow Professionally

Monthly touch‑base calls provide ongoing mentorship, leadership coaching, and practical skill-building in areas like communication, project management, and strategic thinking.

Earn While You Lead

Student Leaders receive a $150 monthly stipend in recognition of their time, commitment, and active participation in the program—supporting students as they grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact.

  • Student Leader Qualifications

    1. Must be a GBU insured or social member with an account in good standing

    2. Must be entering second year of college, university or trade school 

    3. Must currently maintain a 2.75 GPA


  • Student Leader Expectations

    • The Student Leader will represent GBU  on their campus or in their school community
    • The Student Leader will complete an average of 10 service hours monthly
    • The Student Leader will complete an average of one event or activity a semester in order to  remain in good standing
    • If students are already participating in community service through college clubs, those may count toward their service hours

  • Student Leader Support

    • A stipend of $150 monthly to the Student Leader based on completing 10 service hours
    • Funding or reimbursement to the Student Leader for activities and events
    • An exclusive Student Leader Swag Pack with GBU Life promo items and Student Leader branded gear
    • A virtual call each semester to discuss projects, ideas and best practices
    • Professional development and networking opportunities throughout the school year

Make an impact through existing community opportunities.

  • Volunteer work and events
  • Volunteering at food banks, shelters or donation drives and sharing GBU's mission
  • Participating in community clean-up days
  • Assisting at local fundraising walks, festivals or awareness events
  • Outreach and advocacy
  • Volunteer as a GBU representative during GBU Life-sponsored community events
  • Education and mentorship through a verified 501(c)3 organization
  • Tutoring local k-12 students
  • Hosting college prep workshops
  • Mentoring younger students through programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
