Write a Letter to your Local Congressman
About the Challenge
Youth make up a substantial portion of the population, and their voices and concerns deserve to be heard in the political decision-making process. Writing to local representatives allows you to actively participate in shaping policies that affect your lives and future.
Youth bring fresh and diverse perspectives to the table. Your unique experiences, ideas, and concerns might not be adequately addressed by older generations. Engaging with local representatives ensures a broader range of viewpoints are considered in policy discussions.
Challenge Directions
1. Identify a problem or issue that is important to you.
2. After identifying who your local congressman is, write them a letter or send them an email detailing the problem you identified.
3. Complete a "Share Your Results" form and upload your letter or email to earn your challenge points.
