Assemble & donate kits on your own

Participate on your own time by assembling Cake Kits using our instructions. Drop them off at a collection point near you or donate them to an organization of your choice, then submit an impact form so we can track your contribution.

Step 1:

Download the Cake Kit Components Sheet to know what supplies to shop for. Purchase supplies for as many kits as you are comfortable making. Kits cost around $5-$6 a kit. If you are a GBU member, you can take advantage of the Give Back Group Project Start-Up Funds program to be reimbursed for materials purchased. Make sure you hold onto your receipts and complete an application in advance of shopping!

Step 2:

Assemble your Cake Kits. Make sure you print out and include a Birthday Bash Baking Insert in each kit so that the recipient knows how to bake their cake.

Step 3:

Check to see if there is a Collection Point near you (collection point information will be posted on the Birthday Bash page in early April). Drop off your kits any time between April 13 to June 30. Be sure to check the offices' business hours before stopping by.

Step 4:

If there is not a collection point near you, choose a benefitting organization and drop off your assembled Cake Kits to that organization. If you need help finding an organization near you, email memberbenefits@gbu.org.

Step 5:

Be sure to complete an Impact Form to be added into a drawing to win a $1,000 donation to be donated to an organization of your choice.
