Host an American Red Cross Training Webinar
This September, GBU Life would like to offer you a great touch point opportunity with clients or community group by hosting an exclusive virtual training course. Led by an American Red Cross professional, sessions are both informational and engaging. Topics include MapSwipe Crowdsourcing, Red Cross Ready Disaster Preparedness training, and Hands-Only CPR.
Step 1:
Decide which type of virtual course you would like to host, along with the date and time. You can view course descriptions below:
- Virtual Hands-Only CPR Training
- An expert Red Cross trainer will lead this 30-minute virtual session, covering CPR basics and the skills needed to perform “Hands-Only” CPR (no mouth-to-mouth contact is involved).
- Virtual “Red Cross Ready” Disaster Preparedness
- Find out which emergencies are most likely to occur where you live and then learn about the steps you can take today to prepare.
- Virtual MapSwipe Crowdsourcing
- MapSwipe is an easy-to-learn mobile app (available on Android and IOS) that helps the Red Cross prepare and plan so they’re ready to respond before disasters strike. This course will guide you through the app, teaching you how to identify infrastructure and validate map data.
Step 2:
Complete a Hands-On Helpers Host Registration Form and select the option for "Host a Virtual Training Session Only" and select the course of your choosing.
Step 3:
Once you complete the form, GBU Life will line up an American Red Cross Certified trainer and set up the Zoom meeting.
Step 4:
GBU Life will provide you with a customizable email invitation that includes the Zoom link for you to distribute to your clients.
Step 4:
Host your webinar! Greet your attendees and hand it over the American Red Cross Trainer to do the rest. Each virtual event will have a Q&A at the end.
