Take the lead in organizing a group focused on community engagement. Whether you're interested in supporting a local event, raising awareness for a cause, or organizing a park cleanup, you and your team can partner with GBU for help in supporting the organizations and causes you care about.

Become a
Neighborhood Leader

If you love collaborating with others and organizing activities that make a positive impact in your community, become a Neighborhood Leader. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to build a team, plan a project, and access resources to help bring it to life. Leaders will also receive a quarterly stipend for their efforts.

How the program works:

Step 1: Plan a project.

Project Eligibility Guidelines

The team (a minimum of three GBU members is required) must identify a cause or organization it wants to support. Examples include:

  • Participating in a charity walk
  • Hosting a table at a local festival
  • Organizing a volunteer day

Step 2: Submit your project for approval.

Submit your Neighborhood project*

Submit your project plans and the resources you'll need to make it happen. Each project will be reviewed and approved individually. Once approved, your team will receive access to organizational tools, promotional support, and funding.


*Required documents may include an event invoice, completed sponsorship form, or cost breakdown for approval.

Step 3: Report results.

Report project results*

Once your project is complete, let us know how it went! Be sure to include the number of attendees, how long it lasted, and any receipts. Sharing photos is a great way to highlight your project's success.


*This report is required to receive a stipend and to be eligible for future project support.
