Take the lead in organizing a group focused on community engagement. Whether you're interested in supporting a local event, raising awareness for a cause, or organizing a park cleanup, you and your team can partner with GBU for help in supporting the organizations and causes you care about.

Being a Neighborhood Leader is perfect for someone who enjoys working with others and planning & organizing activities that support and benefit their local community. Once approved as a Neighborhood leader, you can assemble a team, plan a project and gain access to resources to support it. Leaders will receive a stipend for completing objectives associated with the position.

How the program works:

Step 1: Decide on a project.

Project Eligibility Guidelines

Connect as a group (minimum of three GBU members must participate) and decide how you want to support a cause or organization within the next 60 days. Ideas include a sponsorship, service project or community partnership.

Step 2: Submit your project for approval.

Submit your Neighborhood project*

Projects will be reviewed and approved on an individual basis. Once the project is approved, the team will gain access to resources that support it, including organizational tools, promotional assistance and funding.


*Required documents may include, and are not limited to, event invoice, sponsorship form or cost breakdown analysis for approval.

Step 3: Report results.
